I'm mobile and busy being mauled by the largest puppy in the world right meow so this won't be super long but the gist of it is:
We've been with the same host for years. They've been good to us. There has been no real downtime that wasn't our fault.
Until 2/4, when everything went down around 20:30 eastern. After confirming that the issue wasn't something I'd broken, we reached out and were told there was a small issue. Hours later we followed up and the small issue was then "restored within 24 hours no further information at this time."
~16 hours later we contacted them again telling them what the frick. We used all caps in part and ended with !!!!!!!!!
And then the truth came out.
If you've not kept up with the Twitter and our colony on WPL, I've said our host is physically unable to access the shit and that the situation is very fitting for the host of rDrama. I can now mansplain but I'll let their words speak for them:

In short, our peepeesucking cute twink useless fricking host had the AmeriKKKan data center manager "unilaterally" decide out of nowhere to terminate service with them. They have no access to this data center, they are on another continent. We have no means of finding the data center ourselves and they won't give us their info.
On their website they still show AmeriKKKan operations operating at full capacity. They are not. They are completely down with no end in sight. They are not acknowledging this issue on any platform.
It's now up to shithole lawyers to try to bully an AmeriKKKan data center over the coming days weeks months YEARS into giving them the entirety of their customer info back. Our hopes are not high. Doubly so because some investigating shows that their "manager unilaterally decided" bit doesn't appear to be the case at all and I'll get into THAT more once this shit is worked out.
As fate would have it, the service we used to store our daily automated backup also banned us 3 days ago. We're appealing this and hopefully can merge the backups soon.
Anyway sorry. Welcome back to September. This is temporary.
