The main reason for conflict in The Walking Dead was environmental, even under the assumption that nobody knew what Zombies were, people taking advantage of the chaotic situation and collapsing under the stress were easier to empathize with, coupled with the fact that the DEEP MORAL CHOICES you have to take, while having little relevance in the outcome of the story, do influence how your not -daughter behaves, at least giving some kind of inclination that the actions you choose do have some impact, even if they don't take effect until the shitty sequel.
Life is Strange is more fun though, albeit slightly. Time Travel is a neat mechanic, so is fucking with dumb white bitches.
